The patient Ah Young is taken away from the operation room without undergoing the surgery.
Dr Moon is furious with Park Hoon but he still exclaims that he will not give up.
Dr Yang on the other hand has finally understood the value of being a doctor from Park Hoon's decision.
Park Hoon tells her that he had no other choice. In fact, we can see a flashback of Park Hoon's conversation with Jae Hee's father who was asking him to save his daughter.
Coming back to the present, Jae Hee is furious against Park Hoon for sacrificing her father's life to spare hers. She tells him that it is not true love but just his greed to save a woman he liked...
(Me: Jae Hee has a point here..I have to agree a little with her...but on the other hand, love can also make you do some selfish things...lets say at that time Park Hoon was blinded by his love for Jae Hee and did not act like a real doctor should have)
Jae Hee tells him that all this time it was only guilt that he felt and not true love. She leaves him after saying that she will never forgive him and that she does not want to see him ever again.
(Me: Jae Hee is just acting again...I think that she has forgiven Park Hoon partly since she has known about it for quite a while already...it's just that she wants him to forget about her and move on with Soo Hyun...Lets say that her way of loving Park Hoon is different...but it is also true that Park has been feeling guilty about it all those years since he never brought it up even once...)
At the Blue House, the President tells the Premier Jang Suk Joo to schedule the surgery for next week with Han Jae Joon as his surgeon since he won the competition.
Park Hoon tells his mom that he only wanted to save Jae Hee and that he would have told her when the time was right... but then (Me: Just like I thought) Hoon admits that he couldn't tell her what he did and that if Jae Hee hadn't found out about it, he would have kept it a secret.
On Han Jae Joon's side, the Director convokes him to keep the promise he made to him which is to nominate him as the new Director of Myung Woo Hospital. Han Jae Joon asks the Director what he will do about Park Hoon. The Director tells him that he will get Park Hoon's doctor license revoked or something to get rid of him. Han Jae Joon asks the Director why he hates Park Hoon so much. The Director finally reveals to him that it is because Park Hoon is the son of Park Cheol who nearly ruined Myung Woo hospital by trying to hold a lawsuit against it. However, the Director admits that he got rid of Park Cheol on time back then to protect Myung Woo.
Dr Yang gives his resignation letter to Han Jae Joon, telling him that he prefers to leave this hell of a place to go work at a public hospital.
Later, Han Jae Joon tells Soo Hyun that Park Hoon is a fine person for her to like and that he had misunderstood him at first.
Han Jae Joon plans to go ahead with the first stage of his plan for revenge against the Director during the banquet held to congratulate him for his nomination as the new director. Before proceeding with his plan, Han Jae Joon apologizes to Park Hoon for misunderstanding him and tells him that Soo Hyun really likes him. Park Hoon tells Han Jae Joon not to hurt Soo Hyun and to just tell her the truth about what he is planning to do.
However, Han Jae Joon tells Park Hoon that it is too late because his plan has already begun. Effectively several policemen arrive at the banquet to arrest the Director's son Oh Sang Jin for illegal bribery and use of public funds.
Park Hoon realizes that Han Jae Joon is in fact Lee Sung Hoon.
Han Jae Joon tells Park Hoon that he has waited for 20 years to exact his revenge on Oh Joon Kyu; now is the perfect time.
However, Park Hoon reminds him that Oh Joon Kyu is the father of the woman he loves.
Soo Hyun confronts Han Jae Joon by asking him if he is really Lee Sung Hoon Han Jae Joon tells her that it doesn't matter who he is; what matters is that he can get a sincere apology for what happened 20 years ago.
Soo Hyun asks her father to apologize to Lee Sung Hoon. However, Oh Joon Kyu refuses by saying that he did the right thing at that time to save Myung Woo.
On Park Hoon's side, the Premier Jang Suk Joo has given him 2 flight tickets for him and his mother to go to Switzerland where they can live safely. However, Park Hoon refuses and asks to see Jae Hee.
Hoon tells Jae Hee that he made the promise to her father to protect her. Jae Hee replies that if it is because of his feeling of guilt that he feels obliged to do that, then he doesn't need to. Park Hoon tells her that it is not because of guilt.
Park Hoon leaves with his mother in the car of one of Jang Suk Joo's man. However, Jang Suk Joo's bodyguard takes Hoon and his mother in some deserted place to kill them. But just as he was about to pull the trigger, he receives a phone call, after which he immediately pulls his gun away from Hoon and his mother.
Then we see the President telling Jang Suk Joo that Park Hoon is not foolish; he just thinks about the patient.
Jang Suk Joo persists that Han Jae Joon has won the competition but the President retorts back that a true doctor is one who thinks more about his patient than his victory.
Jang Suk Joo's man is holding Hoon's mom as hostage while Hoon is talking with Jang on the phone. Jang Suk Joo blackmails Park Hoon to be the Head surgeon for the President's operation because that is what the latter wishes for. Just as Hoon turns back to look for his mom, the latter had already disappeared with Jang's man.The Premier announces the news to Han Jae Joon that Park Hoon has been chosen as the head surgeon for the President's surgery. Jang also warns Han Jae Joon not to do anything to harm Oh Joon Kyu and the hospital until the President's surgery is completed.
Again Soo Hyun tries to convince her father to apologize to Lee Sung Hoon but her father persist on saying that he has done nothing wrong to apologize.
Han Jae Joon confronts the Director, asking him to apologize to Lee Sung Hoon.
(Me: I wonder if the Director has realized that Han Jae Joon is Lee Sung Hoon yet...)
The Director replies that he has nothing to admit to or to apologize for.
Han Jae Joon tells him that he won't be able to stop what is going to happen because Lee Sung Hoon has already revealed the fraudulent financing of the hospital to the reporters and the Bank of Korea which will stop financing.
The episode ends here as Han Jae Joon stands coldly next to the Director's motionless body while Soo Hyun is knocking on the door asking Jae Joon to open the door.
