The woman then replies that his mother went back to South Korea to look for him 20 years ago. Hoon then realizes that the woman holding the teddy bear at the hospital is really his mother.
Just then, Jang Suk Joo calls Park Hoon asking him whether he has met his mother. Park Hoon realizes that Jang Suk Joo did something to his mom and rushes to the hospital.
At the hospital, Park Hoon's mother Lee Mi Sook has escaped the surveillance of her bodyguards. It seems that Jae Hee is the one who has taken her away behind the backs of Jang Suk Joo's bodyguards.
Jae Hee takes Lee Mi Sook to Chang Yi's place, asking her to look after her for now and to keep it a secret from Hoon.
Cha Jin Soo suspects that Jae Hee is behind the disappearance of Park Hoon's mother.
Jae Hee meets Park Hoon and tells him that his mother is fine. Park Hoon gets angry knowing that Jae Hee knew his mother was in South Korea all along but did not tell him. Jae Hee tells him that she didn't know where Jang Suk Joon kept his mother until recently; but now his mother is in a safe place.
Park Hoon doesn't trust her and tells her that he isn't even sure if she is Jae Hee anymore.
Park Hoon tells Jae Hee that he doesn't care about whatever plan she has and that he is going to see Jang Suk Joo to ask him where his mom is. If he doesn't tell him, then Hoon is planning to go to the police station to get him investigated.
Moving on to the director, he is thinking back to his conversation with Jang Suk Joo about eliminating Jae Il hospital from the competition then Myung Woo will definitely be chosen. Jang Suk Joo also advises the director to get Park Hoon back in Myung Woo.
The next day, Jae Il hospital is reported on the news for taking bribes. Just like Jang Suk Joo planner, the President tells him to have his surgery at Myung Woo hospital.
Soo Hyun decides to visit Park Hoon with some leftover curry to apologize for getting mad at him the day before. Thinking that Park Hoon might get sick of curry, Jae Hee prepares some sandwiches for Soo Hyun to give to Park Hoon.
Soo Hyun argues with Park Hoon saying that she only came because Han Seung Hee prepared sandwiches for him. Park Hoon tells her to be nice to Han Jae Joon and stop coming to see him. (Me: This is hopeless...Park Hoon doesn't have any feelings for Soo Hyun... She must have felt heartbroken from hearing his words)
Later a patient visits Park Hoon asking him to examine him. Park Hoon tells the patient that he will need to undergo a surgery because medical prescriptions will not suffice. However, the patient leaves in a rush as he refuses to have surgery since he doesn't have the money to afford a surgery.
Just then Dr Moon comes looking for Park Hoon to convince him to return to Myung Woo. Since the patient needs to undergo a surgery immediately, Park Hoon accepts Dr Moon's offer and heads to Myung Woo with the patient's life in mind.
Park Hoon accepts to continue the match with Han Jae Joon as long as the hospital pays for the patient's fees.
Coincidentally, both Park Hoon and Han Jae Joon find two patients having similar heart problems.
They decide to compete with those patients. But it seems that the director knows that the patient on whom Park Hoon is operating has very low survival rates as he tells Han Jae Joon that the patient will die even if a god operates on him.
On the other hand, Soo Hyun is happy that Park Hoon has returned to Myung Woo. She even kept his doctor's coat neatly for him.
Later Park Hoon informs the patient that he will be saved after the surgery and that all the fees will be paid by the hospital. The patient and his family feel happy and relieved after hearing the good news. (Me: I think Park Hoon is going to fail this time...he doesn't know that the odds are against him this time...)
Jae Hee finally tells him the plan which is to perform the surgery on the President. In fact it is the President who needs the surgery and not the Premier. (The president just wanted to keep it a secret all along)
Park Hoon doesn't understand why Jang Suk Joo wants him to do the surgery so much. Jae Hee reveals to Hoon that it is because Jang Suk Joo wants to kill the President and to do so he can use Hoon's mother and Jae Hee to blackmail him to kill the President. (Me: Oh I didn't see this coming...so that's why...now the pieces of the puzzle are all falling into place...but still the way it was revealed was not very captivating...)
Park Hoon is stunned by the news. Jae Hee continues saying that Jang Suk Joo doesn't want to kill the President right away, he wants to put him in a coma first then he will be able to reign as long as he wants.
Jae Hee's plan is to save the President in exchange he will have to spare Park Hoon and her.
Park Hoon finds the plan too risky and asks her why she has to get involved in this. Jae Hee tells him that it is because she loves him. She tells Hoon that he can lose the competition so that he can move on with his life.
Han Jae Joon tells Soo Hyun to think about Park Hoon as just something fresh and exciting which perked her interest once; then to forget about him.
The next day, the competition starts as both teams get ready for the surgeries. The director tells Dr Moon that the criteria to win will be the success of the surgeries and not the time taken like last time.
Fortunately, the nurse Min has the wisdom to redo the main pre-surgery screening on Park Hoon's patient and they realize that the patient suffers from blood coagulation defect which can make the surgery a failure.
Park Hoon chooses to proceed with the surgery but with a different technique called the 'SAVER' method. However, this method is an outdated method which is highly risky and has very low success rate.
Dr Yang tells Park Hoon that the patient's relatives will never accept such a procedure and that he'll never walk out if he chooses to perform the surgery without the relatives' consent.
However, Park Hoon chooses to proceed with the procedure because the patient is on the verge of dying anyway.
The episode ends here.
Me: Oh my gosh this is so scary...what will happen now...?? Will Park Hoo be able to save that patient...?
