Speaking up your mind.

Speak up your mind.

Such big words

Or such foolish words ?!

Sometimes or many times you just want to express yourself, to shout out loud how enraged you are towards the world including the people around you.

But you just repress yourself and keep it tightly bottled in.

You just end up being bitter and in a very bad mood for a few minutes or a few hours or a few days or even longer.

Sometimes you might just feel like it's better to keep quiet about your real feelings as you would just end up complicating things and hurting yourself as well as others.  You prefer not saying anything in case you end up saying things that you will regret later.

I guess that's the reason why some people just express themselves with harsh, angry or foul words through social media such as Facebook or comment sections on Youtube etc...

Expressing yourself through social media is the closest you can express yourself publicly without hurting yourself as compared to doing so in front of a group or people or a crowd of people.

However, even through social media, people can be hurt by the critics and mean comments of strangers.
So many opinions thrown at you on one single platform i.e. social media is just like a wide shooting ground with one single target.
You cannot escape people's opinions even on social media; unless I guess if you leave the country or the planet and change your identity then maybe it's possible to escape.  In worst cases, some people fall in complete despair and choose to end their life just to escape from that noisy world.

The human world is extremely noisy, you might suffocate just from that constant noise filled with complaints, angry words, critics, insults and other foul words.

But I would like to say 'no matter how harsh the world around you might be, just don't give up'.  Stay strong and do things that will make you happy especially if you're young, you need to enjoy life as much as possible (Of course enjoy life with moderation without any excesses or exaggerations).

If you broke up with your girl friend or boy friend and feel like its the end of your world, don't give up on life. You need to have hope, you will meet someone better or someone who will suit you better and appreciate you as you are.

If you lost your job, it's still not the end of the world. You need to thrive, to live on while looking for a job which will give you real satisfaction at the end of the day.

Love is so volatile...

Welcome back to Alice Chronicle

I hope you enjoy reading my posts

Coming back to the topic of love again...

I think love is a very volatile feeling...

It makes you happy one day, then the next day you feel depressed and gloomy because of it...

Love makes you feel insecure...

You can't help but ask yourself questions like:

-  Does he/she like me?
-  Is there a chance that he/she really likes me?
-  Should I confess?
-  Maybe he/she is just being nice & is not really interested in me...

Some people are really brave to find out rapidly while others take a really long time to gather up the courage and confidence to ask.

There are also others who decide to give up and bury their feelings deep inside their heart, because they are scared of being hurt and of having a broken heart.
They turn a new page and decide to forget this love which might be hopeless.

Writing this post makes me think of this song from the animated movie Hercules:

you know that song :)

Well here it is ;)

Meg - I won't say I'm in love (Hercules animation movie)

Here is the video with lyrics:

Falling in love...

Falling in love....

This topic has been and is still a persistently attractive and captivating topic to many of us.  Even from long time ago with Shakespeares' Romeo & Juliet or Charles Perrault's Cinderella and many other works by various authors; 'love' is an endearing topic that humans can't help but perpetuate throughout the years.

As seen in many Korean dramas, the theme of love is romanticized and rendered so lovely that you can't help but envy the characters for finding their one and only one soul mate.

Is it the same in reality?

Well from my experience the feeling of falling in love or having a crush on someone is intoxicating.

When you fall in love with someone, you feel a lot of the following feelings:
  • Exhilaration
  • Thrill
  • Excitement
  • Happiness
  • Nervousness
  • self-consciousness
  • uncertainty
  • Obsession
I think it's almost like being on drugs.

You can't help but think about the person all day and even when you try to forget that person, he/she always crops into your mind for at least a few minutes.

Some people are more bold when it comes to love.  They are full of confidence in expressing their affection to the person they love and confess easily.

Whereas other people are uncertain on how to act in front of their crush.
This 'uncertainty' can be translated into questions like these:

Should I act cool and calm like usual or should I be more talkative and smile more when I am around him/her?
What if that person doesn't like me back? Then it's just a one-sided love...?
What if he/she already has someone they like?  Should I just give up?

Well all kind of questions pop up in your mind and it makes you so self-conscious and aware of that person.

Love can even make you feel down and irritated at times because of the lack of response from your crush or because of your cowardice to take the first step.

No matter how tough you may be, being in love makes you a very vulnerable person to the words & actions of the one you love.  With just one word or action from your crush you might feel gloomy, desolate and keep on pondering on what you should do.

I guess these are the downsides of falling in love.

But still, the bright side of falling in love is the exhilaration, excitement and happiness it brings to you.

Just a smile, a nod or a short conversation with your crush, can make you feel happy.
Falling in love with someone, does bring happiness to one's life and body.
To your body because, when you are in love, the happiness-chemical called dopamine increases in your brain and makes you feel happiness.

Love can even influence a person to change himself/herself for the better or worst...well depending on his/her crush's interests.

For instance if you like someone who is fashionable, you might start taking more interest in fashion and try to dress better.

If you like someone whose hobby is photography, you might start to take an interest in it too.

You start to take interest in what that person likes so that you can have more things in common.

However, like anything good has its end, the feeling of romantic love can also dissipate and lose its spark with time.  For instance, the thrill and exhilaration you initially had when meeting your crush can either fade or decrease with time as you get to know each other more.

In this case love has evolved to simply attachment & familiarity with the person you have fallen in love with.

I would add that falling in love is an adventure or  a roller-coaster with many high and low moments, just like the mere feeling of existing & living provides.

Falling in love is simply part of being alive.

I hope you enjoyed my article and I would be glad to hear more about your own experiences and opinions about 'falling in love' :)

I am also sharing some songs related to this theme ^^

Cheers!!
