Drama review of Doctor Stranger Ep 16

The episode resumes where Oh Soo Hyun had found out about Jae Hee and Park Hoon being together.  Park Hoon notices that Soo Hyun has seen the dvd showing Han Seung Hee's medical examination results which prove that she is Jae Hee.  Soo Hyun just tells Park Hoon that she came to apologize for what her father has done to his father.  Hoon tells her flatly that it is not her fault.

Just when Soo Hyun is preparing to leave, Hoon stops her to talk but Soo Hyun refuses and tells him she'll  talk with him later.  (Me: Poor Soo Hyun, she must be hurt and sad...)

Still Park Hoon drags Soo Hyun to talk in private.  Soo Hyun is annoyed that Park Hoon kept it a secret from her that Han Seung Hee is Jae Hee.  Park Hoon tells her why he should have told her.  (Me:  Of course you should have told her...idiot!  If you had told her earlier then she might have been able to stop having feelings for you...)  Soo Hyun leaves after calling Hoon a jerk.


Soo Hyun leaves precipitately as Jae Hee returns to the apartment.  The situation is really awkward for Soo Hyun now...
Soo Hyun goes to the hospital although she can't focus on her work...(Me: I think that she is probably just trying to forget about Park Hoon and Jae Hee...)
Park Hoon calls her phone, but she decides to turn it off.

Jae Hee tells Park Hoon that she is worried that they might have hurt Soo Hyun't feelings and that they should apologize to her.  (Me: I think apologizing would make Soo Hyun feel worse.  I think right now what she wants is just to forget Hoon and Jae Hee; so the lesser she sees them, the better and the faster her heart will mend itself)

Park Hoon feels irritated somehow while trying to contact Soo Hyun but to no avail...

At the hospital, Soo Hyun meets some gangsters who start ill-treating a doctor.  Like usual, Oh Soo Hyun comes to help by pushing the gangster's hand away from the doctor's collar.  The gangster becomes violent and slaps Soo Hyun.   Soo Hyun fights back by slapping the gangster back even harder and shouts at him.
But the gangster becomes even angrier and prepares to slap Soo Hyun again but Park Hoon comes just in time to punch the crook.

Later Soo Hyun cries telling Hoon wouldn't his feelings hurt too if he was in her shoes.  Hoon hugs her and tries to comfort her.   Jae Hee watches them from afar...(Me: I wonder if she is jealous or upset...)
Effectively Jae Hee is upset about seeing Hoon with Soo Hyun but it's like a different type of upset....like she is sad that she has to let go of Hoon as she starts deleting their photos together one by one with teary eyes.

Jae Hee meets with the Premier Jang Suk Joo and tells him that she told Park Hoon that they were going to perform the surgery on the President.  Jang Suk Joo looks really surprised as he asks Han Seung Hee if she is out of her mind to tell him that.
Jang Suk Joo tells her that the initial plan is ruined because of her.  The initial plan is revealed to consist in killing Park Hoon's mother so that he gets mad and kills the president thinking it is Jang Suk Joo during the surgery.  (Me: Isn't that plan too far-fetched and unpredictable?)  Effectively, Han Seung Hee tells Jang Suk Joo that no matter who the patient is, Park Hoon will treat him like a patient to save him.

Han Seung Hee does not deny that she is the one who hid Park Hoon''s mother.  She adds that Jang Suk Joo will need a powerful achievement to win the next elections.
She makes a request to Jang Suk Joo to choose Han Jae Joon instead of Park Hoon to do the surgery; in that case she will switch to Dr Han's team to finish things off with the President (i.e put him in a coma).  However Jae Hee requests this on the condition that Park Hoon and his mother remain safe.

Jang Suk Joo accepts the request.  However, now he thinks that he doesn't need Park Hoon anymore and wants to get rid of him.  Cha Jin Soo is assigned the task of killing Park Hoon.A moment that he enjoys as he points his gun at Park Hoon.  But just as Cha Jin Soo was going to pull the trigger, Mr Kim (Jang Suk Joo's bodyguard) shoots Cha Jin Soo in the back to kill him.


Mr Kim gives Park Hoon a lollipop to help him remember him from when he was still a child  (Me: by the way, Mr Kim reminds me of Mr Smith in the movie Matrix ^^'' )
Park Hoon tells Mr Kim if he is crazy for having done that.
Mr Kim replies that it is Jae Hee who asked him to do that.

Jae Hee later sends Park Hoon a recorded message.  She tells him that she doesn't want him to get involved in the surgery so that nothing wrong can happen to him and he can take care of his mother.

Mr Kim tells Park Hoon that Jae Hee is not as defenseless as he thinks she is and to just wait for her.

At Myung Woo hospital, suddenly there is an emergency whereby two patients have the same symptoms and need to be operated as soon as possible.  Han Jae Joon takes this opportunity to start the last round of the competition.

Dr Moon tries to contact Park Hoon to come and do the surgery but nobody can reach his phone.  In fact Park Hoon has been avoiding the calls because Jae Hee told him not to get involved in the competition anymore.  (Me: But still, what will happen to the patient if Hoon doesn't come? The patient is going to die...in exchange of Hoon and his mother's safety...Is that what Jae Hee is asking Hoon to do?  This is a bad decision...I hope Hoon realizes that and returns to the hospital for the surgery)

Dr Moon and Soo Hyun go looking for Park Hoon at his hospital (Garibong) but he is nowhere to be found.  Dr Yang calls Dr Moon to tell him that their anesthesiologist Han Seung Hee has moved to the opposite team (Dr Han's team)...
Soo Hyun asks Dr Moon to do the surgery himself if Park Hoon can't attend.
Dr Moon accepts and prepares to perform the surgery.  But as soon as the operation begins, Dr Moon's hand is trembling.  His team members look at him nervously...
The situation is critical in Dr Moon's operation room compared to Han Jae Joon's side.
(Me: Park Hoon where are you?? The situation is becoming worse and worse for Dr Moon and his team...he is even asking Dr Yang to do something when he is the one supposed to lead...)

As soon as Dr Han completes his surgery successfully, the Director asks him to go save the other patient that Dr Moon is operating on.  (Me: Ah now I understand why the the Director demoted Dr Moon in the early episodes.)
Even Dr Yang asks Dr Moon to call Dr Han to help them.  Dr Moon accepts in order to save the patient.
While Dr Moon is desperately asking why Dr Han hasn't arrived yet, we see someone coming into the surgery room.  (Me: hehehe I bet it's Park Hoon ^^)

As the image focuses on the person who just came in, we see Park Hoon ^^ (Me: YES!! Park Hoon finally came!!)
Lol As soon as he comes in Park Hoon says: ''Aigoo. What's all the mess here, master.'' (Note: He calls Dr Moon his master...a bit like the genie of the lamp calls Aladdin his master; in this case Park Hoon is the genie)


The episode ends with the Hero coming back and ready to switch with Dr Moon to perform the surgery.
