However, Han Seung Hee knows that if Han Jae Joon gets chosen to perform the surgery, he will win the match.
But Park Hoon doesn't care as long as the patient can be saved.
Oh Soo Hyun informs Jae Joon that the patient might be a victim of a medical accident made by the Internal medicine department. Effectively, the surgery was previously done by an inexperienced student-doctor thus causing a medical accident. The director knows that if the public gets to knows this, they will not be able to avoid a lawsuit from the patient's relatives.
Park Hoon goes to see the patient and finds her spending time with her son. Seeing both mother and son, Park Hoon thinks back to his own mother who did not want to take care of him when he was a little boy.
Returning back to the hospital, Park Hoon is worried that Han Jae Joon will back out of the surgery when he gets the news that the medical accident was caused by a student-doctor.
Still Han Jae Joon asks permission from the director to allow him to do the surgery, but the latter refuses to grant him permission for this patient because of the potential risk of a lawsuit. Han Jae Joon angrily tells the director that it does not make sense to let a patient die just because he is afraid of a lawsuit.
Finally the Director sets a condition for the 2nd match i.e. the doctor who performs the surgery on the patient will lose the match. If none of them perform the surgery by tomorrow then they'll just find another patient.
Han Jae Joon knows that if he operates on the patient, he will automatically lose in the competition.
Han Jae Joon suggests that they find another patient, but Park Hoon wants to do the surgery instead.
Dr Moon tries to prevent Park Hoon from doing the surgery by telling him to take the day off and dragging him out of the hospital. But Park Hoon manages to escape from Dr Moon.
However, the tyrant Cha Jin Soo comes looking for Park Hoon and warns him that he should not perform that surgery because they cannot indulge in losing the competition. If Park Hoon loses this competition, then Cha Jin Soo and Jae Hee would have failed their mission to their country. If Park Hoon wins then Cha Jin Soo will let him and Jae Hee live freely and happily.
Han Jae Joon goes to visit the patient, while feeling guilty for not doing the surgery. There he meets the patient's son who reminds him of himself when he was younger. The young boy asks Han Jae Joon to do the surgery in case Park Hoon cannot make it. Han Jae Joon replies that he will think about it.
In fact, Cha Jin Soo threatens to kill Jae Hee if Park Hoon does the surgery.Park Hoon agrees because he cares too much for Jae Hee.
The patient goes into shock again and the doctors barely manage to bring her back. Hoon still cannot do anything because Cha Jin Soo is watching him closely.
The patient's son tries to beg Han Jae Joon to do the surgery but Han Jae Joon refuses; instead he goes to Park Hoon to ask him why he is not doing the surgery when he had already promised that he will do it.
But Park Hoon tells him that he can't afford to lose and that he is not a real doctor...
Han Jae Joon decides to do the surgery with his team...(Me: Ah somehow, Han Jae Joon and his team are becoming real doctors by taking this decision to save the patient's life although they may get fired :)
Before the surgery, Han Jae Joon confesses to Soo Hyun that his feelings for her are genuine :) (Aaawww how sweet ^^)
Han Jae Joon and his team proceed with the surgery only to be interrupted halfway by the director.
The director orders them to stop immediately but Han Jae Joon refuses saying that if he apologizes to the family everything will be alright as long as they can save the patient but the director refuses. Even Han Jae Joon realizes that all this time they had been too greedy about money and their pride that is why many people lost their children and family. (Me: well said Han Jae Joon :) You finally understand what is a real doctor)
But because of the disturbance and stress caused by the director, Dr Keum makes a mistakes and causes more bleeding in the wound.
The director meanwhile plans to frame Han Jae Joon for the death of the patient so that the hospital can avoid the lawsuit. (Me: I can't believe the despicable director is Oh Soo Hyun's father, I mean Oh Soo Hyun is such a nice person compared to him)
The situation in the operation room is critical, because there is too much blood, the surgeons cannot see where to operate. (Me: I hope Park Hoon comes to their help because they really need his skills right now)
Me: Yes!! Park Hoon really joined the team to help them >_<
