Pursuit of Happiness

'Happiness' is such a vague term but has vast meanings at the same time.

'Happiness' has so many different meanings for each of us.

What is Happiness?

Feeling like a fluffy cloud which is so light that you can float high up in the air like a balloon filled with helium and feeling like you don't have a care in the world (Note: I'm not saying that you have to take drugs to achieve this feeling. Please don't misunderstand.)

Or

Happiness can be felt after making a big achievement after working very hard on something extremely meaningful to you.

Or

Happiness is the feeling you have when you spend time with the one or the ones you love.

Some people find the most happiness in material things like money, luxury and all the tralala...etc

Happiness can be having a new member to your family.

Happiness can be eating your favorite dessert.

Happiness can be simply having a place to call home.

For the time being my definition of 'Happiness' is simply finding a job which I really like and which does not depress me every single day...

Hopefully I can find it soon.

I'm sure there are many people in the same situation as me so I wish you all the best in finding your dream job.

Hwaiting!! Fighting !!

I need lots of 'fighting' too, especially these days...

I seem to be running out of energy...

See you for another post.

Ciao

Injustice / Unfairness

I'm really angry & frustrated today after the unfairness I've been put through.

To think that this type of mentality still exists in our developed world whereby some people of high ranking (supposedly) are selective about the persons who can speak to them.

If you are from a lower social class or if you are situated lower on the corporate ladder, you cannot address people who are at the top of the hierarchy because they look down on you like vulgar insects from where they stand.  What's so different between them and us ?!! Aren't they made of flesh & blood as well just like any other humans...'I'm not necessarily asking them to treat everyone as equals but at least show some respect to someone who is an equal to you in species, right!!'  I mean you are still human you know !? You're not a god !!  Even God treats humans better than humans treat each other...for Pete's sake !!

You can even get severely scolded for even taking the initiative to speak to someone from that supposedly high level to request something.  Is this really the 21st century?! Where is the freedom of speech!?  Can't you even voice out your opinion when you're not even being insulting or sarcastic with your words?!

Is this some kind of K-drama in which the rich Chaebols look down on the middle class or lower class people.  What's so great about them that they think so highly of themselves and even get you into troubles because you just spoke to them.  A person victim to that type of treatment would feel greatly betrayed by that unfairness inflicted upon them by their own people.

No matter how hard you work to do your best, people always find ways to bring you down with their remarks and criticisms.  People just don't realize how hard you have been working and what you have to put up with to achieve certain goals.  On the other hand, you might also be inflicting the same unfairness to your peers but you have no choice due to the social pressure or work pressure.  When you think about it, pressure & stress is just something created by humans and inflicted by humans on each other...

I guess all this brings us to think that people should just stop interacting with each other and just do their own thing & live their own life like Robinson Crusoe.  But if you do that, you might just end up lonely and depressed as well.  Either ways you'll end up hurt.  Life is just so complicated.  Even little insignificant things / happenings can be turned into such huge issues / scandals when they don't really matter much or cause any harm in the first place.

It is after all humans who created Apartheid (which reminds you of Nelson Mandela's sacrifice
for freedom).

It is humans who created racism.
It is humans who created social hierarchy.

For animals it's just the survival of the fittest.

All this brings us to the conclusion that unfairness / injustice will always exist in the world (even among animals).

You can never escape from unfairness unless you are that lucky person who never suffered any injustice in their whole life.

I guess it's enough now, I should stop venting out my annoyance in this blog because it can be seen as really gloomy and pessimist by my viewers.

Thank you for reading. This is just an insight on how bad my day was today.

Lets keep on living to find happiness.

I'm feeling really sleepy right now and I've ranted enough for today, so lets just take a break from this hell of a living day.

Story titled 'Aimless'

Let me tell you a story.

The story is about a young girl who had many dreams.
She dreamed about being a singer but her voice was not good enough to be one.
She dreamed about being a dancer but she could not dance well.
She dreamed about being an artist but could not draw well enough to be one.
She dreamed about being a doctor but her scores in science subject were not excellent enough for her to pursue a doctor's profession (P.S: She also lacked the funds to pursue the doctor's career).
She dreamed about being a nurse but she was not patient and caring enough to choose this path.
She dreamed of many other career paths as well but somehow non of them seemed to suit her.

Later, she decided to choose one path and started to study for it but she ended up giving up after a few months.

It's not that she was not hard working but she lacked resolve in choosing what she wanted to do exactly...and she got discouraged easily.
Finally she ended up studying for a degree for which she was not passionate about and landed in a job which she didn't necessarily like to do...

What will she do from now on...?
Only time will tell...

I think this is the story of many young people today who are confused, lost and without any directions as to what to do with their life.  They just go with the flow and end up doing things which they do not really appreciate or feel enthusiastic about.  Life is thus aimless and unhappy for those people.

If only life came with a compass which always directs you towards the best and wisest path.
A compass which knew you better than you know yourself. Wouldn't that be great?!
^_^

I'll let you know what happened to the young girl one day.
