Welcome back to Alice Chronicle with the recap of the Episode 26 of 'Ming Yang Hua Gu'.
This episodes starts with Ming Yang playing the
tune of the Hua Gu song by blowing on a piece of leaf.
Hua Gu is attracted by the tune and goes outside the hostel to look for Ming Yang.
However, just a Hua Gu was approaching him, Ming Yang suddenly stops playing, takes hold of his sword and rushes to see what's wrong with his the group of bodyguards who have been arguing.
The bodyguards are arguing because about drinking or not drinking on duty. Ming Yang tells them that they are not allowed to drink on duty because they need to be alert all the time to any danger that the Princess might face.
Hua Gu who disagrees approaches them and takes the pot of wine to drink after telling Ming Yang that she can drink since she is neither the princess nor a bodyguard. Ming Yang tells her that she is not allowed to drink either but Hua Gu runs away with the pot of wine and starts drinking to forget about her one-sided love.
Ming Yang chases after her and takes the pot of wine away from her.
He tells her that his brother will feel sad if he sees her like that.
Hua Gu replies him reproachfully that he tricked her into believing that he liked her. She still asks him if he has ever liked her even once? And if the feelings between the two of them were all fake?Hua Gu then hugs Ming Yang while crying.
Ming Yang hugs her back momentarily but lets her go suddenly, tells her not to say a word and to go back to sleep.

Hua Gu suddenly loses consciousness (Me: She's probably drunk ^^'')
Ming Yang carries her princess style
(Aaawww she looks so tiny in his arms >_< I love the way he swoops her off her feet so effortlessly >_< So cute!!)
Like a gentleman, Ming Yang carries Hua Gu to her room and tucks her in bed.
Ming Yang gazes at Hua Gu as she sleeps before leaving the room.
Outside Ming Zhu Er is pacing to and fro wondering what happened to Hua Gu. Ming yang tells him she fine and she is just drunk after drinking some wine. Ming Zhu Er asks why did she have to drink. Ming Yang replies that Hua Gu drank probably because she was worried about Qing Er's illness.
Ming Zhu Er is annoyed that Hua Gu does not talk to him about her worries when they are going to become a married couple soon.
Ming Zhu Er tells Ming Yang to call him if there are any issues with Hua Gu in the future since he is her future-husband.
Hua Gu tells him that he can lie to her about his feelings but he cannot lie to his own heart.
Ming Yang tells Hua Gu that he has already agreed to his brother's marriage and that she will soon become his sister-in-law.
Qing Er and Ming Zhu Er later approach them to have breakfast together.
The situation is very tensed between Hua Gu and Ming Yang, they hardly speak to each other and it becomes awkward as Ming Yang unintentionally places his hand on Hua Gu's hand as both of them grab hold of the jug at the same time.
Ming Zhu Er breaks the awkwardness by getting hold of the kettle and pouring water for both of them.
Later, Ming Zhu Er takes Hua Gu to a temple to wish for their married life to be a success. But Hua Gu tells Ming Zhu Er that they should not rely on a wish for their marriage to succeed but should rely on their own efforts.
Ming Zhu Er keeps telling Hua Gu that he will love her for all his life but Hua Gu cannot listen to him anymore and leaves the temples after telling him that it's a bit stuffy in there.
Ming Zhu Er chases after Hua Gu in the Woods and asks her why she has been looking unhappy the last few days. Hua Gu tells him that there is nothing wrong with her. (Me: I think Hua Gu should just tell him the truth about her real feelings right now, she has been leading him for too long now... it's unfair for Ming Zhu Er as well that she keeps hiding the truth...)
Ming Zhu Er then asks Hua Gu if she didn't want to make a wish at the temple because she does not like him at all.
Ming Zhu Er hugs Hua Gu suddenly but she immediately pulls away from him.
Hua Gu tells him that they should not be too close to each other.
Looking hurt, Ming Zhu Er tells her that even though she ignores him in the future, he will still she will still be the most important person in his life.
(Me: Aargh Hua Gu stop dragging this hopeless love story with Ming Zhu Er, you'll just end up hurting him and he will hurt you in return !!)
Qing Er finally dreams about the moment when Hua Gu had given her the purple stone necklace when she was a child.
When Qing Er wakes up she is unsure whether her dream was from her past memories or not.
Hua Gu tells her to forget about past memories and to just concentrate on her future.
It starts raining heavily again at night. Hua Gu writes a letter and has it sent to Ming Zhu Er by a messenger.
Ming Zhu Er reads the letter. In the letter, Hua Gu thanks him for his sincere love but tells him that she is a liar and that all this time, she knew clearly that the person she loves is not him. Hua Gu also tells him that she has decided to leave so that she won't hurt him anymore and begs him not to look for her.
Ming Yang feels that something is not right after he saw Hua Gu leave her room with her umbrella.
Suddenly Qing Er calls out Hua Gu's name.
Ming Yang rushes to Qing Er's side to see what's wrong with her.
Qing Er tells him that she remembers everything now.Qing Er remembers that the purple stone necklace was given to her by Hua Gu when she was a child.
Ming Yang asks her if she is certain about it. Qing Er replies that she is sure of it and we can see a clear flashback from Qing Er's memories when Hua Gu gave her the necklace.
Qing Er then asks where is Hua Gu but Ming Zhu Er comes in to tell them that Hua Gu has already left. Qing Er asks him why Hua Gu has left but Ming Zhu Er decides to lie to them and tells them that he doesn't know the reason why she's gone.
Feeling sleepy, Hua Gu leans against the hay to sleep.
Out of nowhere an assassin tries to stab her with his spear. Spunky Hua Gu fights him back by hitting him with her umbrella, but more assassins appear to attack her.
Fortunately, Ming Yang appears to save her.
Nevertheless, more and more assassins keep coming to attack Ming Yang. Only Ming Zhu Er came to help MIng Yang, the body guards have not arrived yet to help them.
The episode ends with the fight which is ongoing.
Episode 27, begins with Ming Zhu Er who in badly injured from the enemy's blow on his back.
Ming Yang is tending to his brother's wound by bandaging the deep cut on his back while the girls are standing on one side of the room looking worried.
(Me: Aigoo, looks like Ming Zhu Er is going to use his injury to make Hua Gu feel guilty for leaving him. I wouldn't be surprised if he got injured on purpose)
Hua Gu's gaze shifts away after hearing Ming Zhu Er's words, because she feels slightly guilty.
A servant brings medicine to Ming Yang to give to his brother to drink.
Ming Yang notices that Ming Zhu Er keeps staring at Hua Gu instead of drinking the medicine, so Ming Yang goes to Hua Gu and tells her to feed the medicine to his brother since he got hurt because of her. Hua Gu stares at Ming Yang with an unhappy look and won't let go of his hands which are holding the bowl of medicine as if telling Ming Yang silently not to leave her alone with Ming Zhu Er.
(Me: Ming Yang how can you be so dense...Hua Gu doesn't want to remain all alone with Ming Zhu Er....Be more understanding!)
Ming Zhu Er tells Hua Gu again that he loves her and acts like he never read the letter.
Hua Gu picks up the letter from his desk and tells him to read it then he will understand why she left all alone at night.
Ming Zhu Er gets up angrily and takes the letter from Hua Gu to rip it into pieces. He tells Hua Gu that if she has something to say to him then just tell him face-to-face.
(Me: I agree on this part...If Hua Gu wants to reject him, it's better to tell him in person instead of telling him through a letter. Hua Gu is being childish and acting like a coward in doing so. If she really wants to make things clear with Ming Zhu Er then she better say it personally)
Ming Zhu Er asks Hua Gu if she is thinking of leaving him because she is a Princess and looks down on lower class people like him. Hua Gu replies that she is not that kind of person. But Hua Gu does not take the courage to tell him the contents of the letter i.e. she loves someone else and cannot be with him...
Ming Yang also starts to try to convince Hua Gu to admit that she is the Princess.
Ming Yang tells Hua Gu that Qing Er definitely regained her past memories because she even remembered Court Lady Yu who gave the necklace to Hua Gu when she was a child.
Still, Hua Gu acts like she doesn't understand what they are saying. She tells Qing Er that she can get her illness treated and obtain the care of a family if she is the Princess.
Qing Er tells her about a time during their childhood when they went to an old deserted temple to pray. Qing Er repeats the prayer which they made long ago, then Hua Gu realises that Qing Er really recovered her memories. Qing Er tells Hua Gu that she remembers the happy times she had with her parents so how can she look for other parents in the palace.
Hua Gu hugs Qing Er, feeling touched that Qing Er has remembered their past together. Qing Er tells Hua Gu that she cannot take her happiness away from her and that it is fate that has decided for her not to be the Princess. Qing Er returns the necklace to its rightful owner i.e. Hua Gu.
Both in tears, the two girls start singing the Hua Gu song from their childhood. While watching them reminisce their past memories together, Ming Yang starts tearing up as well and leaves the room. (Me: Lol Ming Yang is such a softie XD)
Ok I skipped a lot of this episode, sorry but there was too much uninteresting stuffs going on. So I reached the part where Qing Er tells Hua Gu that she doesn't think that she can get well from her illness. Hearing that Hua Gu is really sad and starts crying as she walks out of the room.
Ming Yang starts following Hua Gu as soon as he sees her come out of the room. Hua Gu gets pissed and tells Ming Yang to leave her alone but the latter tells her that he needs to stay close to her to protect her as she is the Princess. Hua Gu orders him to take ten steps back from her. Lol Ming Yang cutely moves back several steps to give space to Hua Gu to cry. Hua Gu asks out loud if she is being punished for lying too much that's why Qing Er is not getting well.
This episode ends here with Hua Gu in tears and Ming Yang listening to her complaints.
Episode 28 begins with Hua Gu crying because she Qing Er has lost hope in finding a cure to her illness. Ming Yang can only stand a few steps away from her, unable to console her.
But nobody has seen Qing Er since morning.
Effectively Qing Er has left the hostel and has been walking by the riverside while sobbing and grieving about her incurable illness to her dead parents.
Desperate, Qing Er cries out loud towards the sky for her parents to take her away to meet them.
Worried, the impostor Prince holds her in his arms while calling her to wake up.
Suddenly waking up, Qing Er gets a scare seeing a guy looking so closely at her face and slaps him on reflex after calling him a pervert.
Qing Er starts running away from that guy but the latter chases after her, while telling her that she is mistaken and he is not a pervert but her savior. Qing Er realizes that he is telling the truth so she excuses herself. Just then, Hua Gu comes running to Qing Er, feeling relieved to have found her.
The Prince impostor tells them that Qing Er was trying to commit suicide. Hearing this, Ming Yang, Hua Gu & Ming Zhu Er are shocked and start persuading to Qing Er to live on although she is suffering from her illness. Qing Er tells them that she was just talking desperately while taking a walk and was not really thinking of taking her own life.
Just before they leave, Ming Zhu Er tries to kill the impostor Prince guy because he now knows the existence of Hua Gu. However, Hua Gu prevents Ming Zhu Er to do anything to that guy.
The latter thanks Hua Gu for saving his life and proposes to help Qing Er since he has some medical know-how. Hua Gu asks him what's his name and he tells them it is Xiao Zhu (which also means 'Little pig') XD Lol
Hua Gu is really impressed by Xiao Zhu's accurateness and asks him for a cure for Qing Er's sickness.
Nevertheless, Ming Zhu Er thinks that Xiao Zhu is a quack and has been purely assuming Qing Er's condition.
Xiao Zhu then tells them that he can apply various massage technique to try to save Qing Er and even starts demonstrating his massage skills on her.
After Xiao Zhu has massaged a few points on her wrist and head, Qing Er feels better.
(Me: I wonder if Qing Er is acting along with Xiao Zhu to stop her Hua Gu & the others from worrying or Xiao Zhu really has special massaging skills)
Hua Gu later helps Xiao Zhu to prepare some special antidote for Qing Er. (Looks like Xiao Zhu has become Hua Gu's new friend, they seem to get along quite well ^^)
Xiao Zhu realises that Hua Gu is really determined to save Qing Er so he tricks her by telling her that by eating human flesh, Qing Er will be cured. Gullible & desperate to save Qing Er, Hua Gu immediately reaches for a knife to cut off a piece of her flesh but Xiao Zhu grabs the knife before her. The guards immediately hold their spears at Xiao Zhu's neck, thinking that he is attempting to hurt their Princess.
Hua Gu is annoyed when Xiao Zhu tells her that it was a lie and that he was just joking.
He takes out a small bottle from his coat and adds the powdery content to the broth of medicine which is boiling.
Both Xiao Zhu & Hua Gu's clumsy & bright personalities seem to match each other so they get along really well.
Just then Ming Zhu Er approaches the kitchen to see them laugh and chit chat together,
At the sight of them laughing happily, Ming Zhu Er gets irritated and is probably burning with jealousy. Ming Zhu Er tells Ming Yang that a stranger like Xiao Zhu who would not even tell them his real name is too suspicious to stay with them.
However, Ming Yang tells him that Xiao Zhu doesn't seem like such a bad person as he is trying to save Qing Er.
When Hua Gu & Xiao Zhu bring the medicine to Qing Er, Ming Zhu Er suspects that it is poisoned. Xiao Zhu takes a spoonful of the medicine to prove that it is not poisoned.
In the evening, Xiao Zhu tells himself that he was able to run away from the palace but now he might have to return there because Qing Er and the rest are heading towards there.
However, Xiao Zhu really wants to save Qing Er and save Hua Gu's life as he knows that there are many conspiracies in the palace to kill the Princess.
Xiao Zhu tells Hua Gu that he studied a lot of medicinal books because he wanted to treat his father who was ill.
Me: I wonder who Xiao Zhu is really....? Is he of royal blood too or a complete impostor...? In fact I didn't really follow the parts of the drama talking about the conspiracies in the palace, so I didn't understand why he is like an impostor for the role of the Prince...Could he be the Queen's son but born from another man who is not the King...? Hum...we'll have to see...
Xiao Zhu is acting like a brother to Hua Gu and even questions her about who she likes.
Hua Gu doesn't tell him but Xiao Zhu still tries to guess.
However, Ming Zhu Er comes to interrupt them and almost orders Hua Gu to come to his room to dress his wounds with new bandages.
(Me: Ming Zhu Er's attitude is starting to annoy me... shouldn't he be talking to Hua Gu with more respect since she is the Princess?? I mean even Ming Yang now doesn't dare to speak up to Hua Gu as she is the Princess. Ming Zhu Er is starting to become too possessive of Hua Gu, when he knows clearly that the latter does not love him...)
Xiao Zhu later asks Ming Yang how come Ming Zhu Er can speak so informally to Hua Gu and even asks her to dress his wounds when she is a Princess. Ming Yang tells Xiao Zhu that there are certain things he doesn't know i.e. Hua Gu and Ming Zhu Er have already made a promise to marry each other.
Also Ming Zhu Er got this fatal injury while protecting Hua Gu.
Still, Xiao Zhu tells Ming Yang that Hua Gu and Ming Zhu Er don't look like a couple which going to marry soon.
He also remarks that Ming Zhu Er seems like a bad person with wrong intentions and that he might have faked his injury just to be indebted to the Princess.
However, Ming Yang defends his brother and tells Xiao Zhu that as a stranger he should not make those type of prejudiced remarks.
(Me: Ming Yang, you should consider Xiao Zhu's point of view because your brother is not that good of a person as he wants to make out to be...)
Xiao Zhu just can't understand how Ming Yang can have peace of mind when Hua Gu is all alone in with a man in his room so late at night. (Me: Ming Yang is a complete fool right now, how can he be so gullible & careless. When will he realize that his brother is evil... Hua Gu might be in dire danger right now... :(
On the other hand, Xiao Zhu is thinking of a way to help Hua Gu.
In Ming Zhu Er's room, Hua Gu looks really uncomfortable as she tries to avoid looking at Ming Zhu Er as she hands him the bowl of medicine.Ming Zhu Er tells Hua Gu that she should not talk to someone as low as Xiao Zhu since she is a Princess.
Hua Gu tells him that she doesn't feel that Xiao Zhu is a bad person.
Ming Zhu Er replies that he has no choice but to be ultra cautious to ensure her safety.
He even adds that he will ask the King for her hand officially when he meets the latter.
Hua Gu remains silent at his comment.
Ming Zhu Er then asks Hua Gu to put some medicine on his wound but Hua Gu hesitates as she feels that she should not be close to a man then hands him the medicinal patch to affix on his own.
Ming Zhu Er takes the patch from her reluctantly.
Suddenly the sound of glass breaking can be heard coming from outside. Hua Gu immediately uses this excuse to leave the room to check out where the noise comes from.
Ming Zhu Er then hears Hua Gu calling Xiao Zhu from outside the room as the latter tells her that he saw a cat passing by.
(Me: Haha looks like Xiao Zhu's plan to save Hua Gu worked ^^ Ming Zhu Er is definitely becoming more and more dangerous looking...Hua Gu should keep her distance from him before he hurts her...)
